What do you do at Koi-Fly Creative?

I am the head cheerleader here. I make sure the plants are watered and the pillows are fluffed. And I hustle as much as I can to bring in business for us to sink our creative teeth into. I also love, love to decorate a set.

What’s your greatest moment — whether in work, school, business, production/marketing — so far?

I’m a mom so I’d say giving birth to healthy babies and watching them become really compassionate, smart, funny early adults is my all time favorite moment (s). My second greatest moment so far is right now: Watching this company that I am so passionate about and this team that I love so much experience success and momentum towards an incredible future. Damn, that makes me happy.

Who do you love to follow on Twitter or Instagram and why?

I follow inspirational humans, celebrities, my bffs, coworkers, and fashion and travel bloggers. But my insta-crack are gorgeous photographers (like Jimmy Marble) and goosebump filmmakers (like Reed Morano).

What’s your favorite piece of technology?

I’d have to say my dumb phone… but I love my laptop too.

What’s the one app or gadget you think needs to be invented?

A sleep machine. A real one. One that puts you to sleep for 8 hours naturally with sweet dreams.

What’s your favorite thing about living in the Philadelphia area?

The stuff like we are so close to NYC and DC and the mountains and the beaches. The city of Philadelphia has become such a hub for great restaurants and hotels. We love visiting there for the weekend. We always find new places to visit.

What do you love to do when you are not working?

Travel. Learn. Travel. Read. Travel. Spa. with my husband and kids. And going to movies in theaters on a rainy day. I get popcorn and snowcaps and mix them together in just the perfect ratio. Salty-Sweet YUM.

What’s the best book you’ve read recently?

Just started reading fiction again after a long hiatus (of only reading biz books and articles). I like mysteries – JD Robb. In the middle of reading “The Great Alone” a novel about a family who moves to the Alaskan bush. It’s riveting!

What are your podcast recommendations?

Tim Ferris is interesting. The Meditation Mini Podcast is awesome. Sounds True has incredible spiritual guests. I like learning how to improve in some way; mentally, physically and spiritually so I can hopefully be here for my people as a leader.

What’s your favorite Koi-Fly memory?

I’d have to say when Eric and I finished the 5-day shoot in Tuscany, Italy that became our Tuscan Fitness video. We did it by ourselves. It was our first official project as Koi-Fly and it was an amazing feeling of accomplishment mixed with exhaustion!!

What’s one thing you can’t live without?

Obviously, my family. But one thing that has kept me going through the best and worst times is hot yoga. It centers me, keeps me physically fit and helps my brain focus.

What’s the most interesting item on your desk?

I have a statue of Buddha on my desk that is also a business card holder. A friend gave it to me when I started my first company. He symbolizes success so I rub his belly often to release as much of it as possible.
